NAIL CREATIVITY ON A BUDGET: WHO KNEW

I belong to The Industry Insider. They posted the an interesting thing I thought, on "News Print" nails. I went bananas over this post this morning. I feel this is a great way for those of us on budgets who want fancy, fun nails, to do it with items we already have. Rather than spending extra money when we don't need to. YES, I AM THE BUDGET QUEEN! LOL! I think I will try this on my self........maybe my little sister first, and post pictures. You Vixen's do the same, and send me pictures please. Show me the creative Vixen that lives in you!

Here are the directions:

How to do Newsprint Nails!

Ingredients: Light colored (preferably white) nail polish, black and white print newspaper, rubbing alcohol and clear base/topcoat

1) Apply one coat of base coat and one coat of white nail polish.
2) Let nails dry completely. Apply another coat of white. Let nails dry completely again.
3) Once nails are dry, take a strip of newspaper that has only words on it (double check that there are no particularly offensive words on the piece of newspaper, as you might not want to be wearing those around), dip your nail in rubbing alcohol, then place the newspaper strip over your entire nail. To get better coverage, press the newspaper strip to your nail with an alcohol-dampened cotton ball. Hold down in a steady position for 10 -- 15 seconds. Be sure not to move the newspaper around or it will smudge! If you aren't happy with the application, rub the ink off with your finger and try again.
4) Once you remove the newspaper strip and are happy with the results, finish with a clear, shiny coat of topcoat. Repeat on as many nails as desired!
